Leadership Team

 At the heart of Sharon’s House of Hope Foundation is Krysta Wever, a dedicated Registered Nurse, passionate advocate, and faith-filled leader who turned unimaginable grief into a powerful mission. After losing her mother, Sharon, to suicide in 2022, Krysta sought to honor her legacy by creating a place of healing for other women facing some of life’s most difficult battles.

Krysta’s professional background includes nearly 19 years of nursing experience, where she has worked extensively with vulnerable populations and witnessed the harsh realities of mental illness, addiction, and trauma. In addition to her clinical work, Krysta has personally walked alongside many close loved ones battling addiction. 

These combined experiences — both personal and professional — along with her unwavering Christian faith, inspired her to establish Sharon’s House of Hope Foundation in January 2023.

Under Krysta’s leadership, the organization opened its first women’s recovery home in August 2023 and a second home in June 2024. These homes provide certified recovery housing in Maryland for women in any stage of recovery, offering a safe, structured, and Christ-centered space for healing.

Krysta leads with compassion and conviction. Her approach blends professional standards with personal lived experience, ensuring that every woman entering Sharon’s House of Hope is met with dignity, faith, and unconditional support. She oversees program operations, community partnerships, referral networks, staff coordination, and systems development—all with the goal of expanding the organization’s reach and impact in Harford County and beyond.

Krysta believes that true transformation is possible through the love of Christ, and she remains committed to walking alongside every resident as they rebuild their lives. Through her vision, leadership, and tireless dedication, Sharon’s House of Hope is becoming a beacon of hope for women in need of recovery housing in Maryland.
